Partner organisation, the European Federation of Black Women Business Leaders recently partnered with Deloittes Academy to help increase the number of Black Women Business Leaders being nominated for their Women On Boards course.


During a meeting back at the end of last year with Deloittes MD David Cruickshank, Dr Yvonne Thompson CBE successfully negotiated places on the forthcoming Deloittes Academy, Women on Boards programme which starts this autumn.

networking programme for women with the ability and ambition to be considered for Non-Executive Director positions at UK listed companies. The programme will build on their knowledge and assurance, and provide opportunities to network with their peer group and senior board members from UK listed companies and City advisers.

Members of the Programme will gain knowledge and understanding of:

Boardroom dynamics;

The challenges facing women in their move to a board position;

The UK Governance framework;

Working with external stakeholders such as members of the investor community;

Developing personal brand and impact;

Getting onto a shortlist for director appointments.

Who is the programme for?Senior women with the potential to be considered for a Non-Executive Director position with a UK listed company within the next 12 to18 months.
